Ms Foong Pui Hing​
Senior Principal Dietitian,
National Heart Institute (IJN), Kuala Lumpur.

Foong Pui Hing is a Dietitian at the National Heart Institute (IJN) for 16 years.  She leads a team of Dietitians to provide Dietetic services in the hospital for various medical conditions for adults and pediatrics including cardiovascular diseases, heart failure, diabetes mellitus, renal diseases and congenital heart diseases. She also serves in several hospital committees such as Critical Care Area, Heart-Lung Transplant, HACCP for Food Services and Patient & Family Education.  

Besides, Pui Hing is an active member for Malaysian Dietitians Association (MDA) and Malaysian Diabetes Educators Society (MDES). She has contributed towards MDA’s Medical Nutrition Therapy for Type 2 Diabetes (2013) and MDES’ Diabetes Education Manual (2016 and 2020). Her other professional roles include being a preceptor for local Dietetics students during clinical internships, facilitator and speaker for various professional conferences, community as well as media events.

Diane is a Senior Nutrition Scientist. She has been working for the past 12 years at Nestlé Research based in Lausanne (Switzerland), providing expert advice and communicating on evidence-based science. Her knowledge and expertise embrace several key dimensions of nutrition science with a strong focus on diets, foods and food ingredients with documented benefits on cardiovascular health. She has also interest in better understanding the interactions between food systems, climate change, and the potential to deliver sustainable diets. She holds a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry and a postgraduate diploma in Human Nutrition from the University of Lyon (France).
