Dr Masni binti Mohamad is a consultant endocrinologist at Endocrine Unit, Department of Medicine, Hospital Putrajaya, Putrajaya. She has served there since 2004. She obtained her M.D in Universiti Science Malaysia and proceeded to do her Masters in Internal Medicine in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She completed her subspecialty training which is Endocrinology in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia too. She is actively involved in research and teaching. She has publications in international/local journals and 4 book chapters. She is frequently invited to give lectures to medical officers and paramedics on diabetes, obesity and endocrine topics. She has also been actively participated and presented at various international conferences and scientific meetings. An honorary lecturer for UiTM undergraduate medical school and UKM and UM Internal Medicine Masters program. She is also a trainer for Endocrine subspeciality program under the ministry of health. She is also the panel member for “Ask the Expert” for MyHealth portal under the endocrine expert panel. Her thrust areas of interest include obesity and diabetes. She is in charge of the multidisciplinary team obesity clinic in Hospital Putrajaya. She is an active member of Malaysia Endocrine Metabolic Society (MEMS) and an Active Member of The Endocrine Society with a Professional Role of Clinical Practitioner since 2010.
